In a rut

Canada
February 11, 2016 4:24pm CST
This week I have accomplished pretty much nothing. I am still suffering from a cold, though the cough has gotten a bit better(that may be more due to the medication than actually getting better). Hauling my rear out of bed each morning is so much harder than it usually is. The medication I am on is generally a pain med, but it can be prescribed for coughs as well(I guess due to slowing your breathing rate). I only take it before bed, as that is when my cough bother me the most, but it is still working it's magic when the alarm goes off in the morning. I am hoping that I can stop taking this medication soon and get back into our routine. My son is not liking being cooped up, but we don't want to spread germs.

It's never easy or pleasant when you're sick. Get some rest, and I hope you feel better soon.

That's too bad you are feeling under the weather. I hope you feel better soon and that medication kicks in! It's really frustrating to feel bed-ridden like that; but you clearly need the rest. Feel better!

Unfortunately staying in bed is not an option. The kids can only do so much for themselves.

Is your son still poorly too? I hope you are both on the road to recovery.

He is doing much better, thank you. He even did much better at his last speech therapy appointment so I am almost convinced he will need tubes in his ears.

Feel better soon. Vapo Rub on the soles of the feet does really help for that night time cough.

I've had bronchitis for the past 3 weeks so i'm still fighting it off also. It's been hard to get up in the morning to go to work when I just want to stay home and sleep. But atleast it's now the weekend so i am home and resting. I hope you feel better soon
