I'm just friending you, don't be alarmed.

In Mylot, there are three very important things you must do to be successful. One of the more Important of the three is something I've been ignoring: befriending writers. I've been interactive on a daily basis, Wrote articles, and read ten times as many, but I never tried to get friends because I'm so used to accepting them. So, if I friended you and you don't know where i got your name, I promise you, I'm not stalking anyone...lol. I'm working on finding good writers and "friending them", so I can have higher numbers. I think part of my problem with my earnings, is that, I appreciate all who responds and interacts, but I don't have a big enough audience. You think friending 100 writers is too much for one day? Already found five.

I keep the number of friends very small. I was on a site (bubblews) where people had thousands of friends only to earn more. So ridiculous.

Lol. I had 26,000 on Bubblews at one time, before they revamped. I don't mind spending the time reading articles, but I won't like a three-sentence story either....or the, "how-is-your-day" stories. I understand Bubblews had to rid the scams from the writers, but I went from 26,000 to 2500 in a week..

This writing thing has rules, but $$$ can sway a lot of people.

@sherryericha Yes, but when bubblews cleaned up, so did my pay. Did you know that Bubblews actually paid for part of my Christmas? $200 when I needed it. I wasn't even there for 6 months. After that, it took me 2 years to make $8

I think five a day is a good number to start with. Build up the number you are following and get a sense for their writing rhythm.

I don't know how many is to many but if you can handle 100 then all the better for you.

@quarternoes I usually write two articles a day but they are not back to back.

My theory is, not everyone is going o write everyday. Most articles are two minutes at best, and I rarely see anyone write more than one a day.

More Important than writing itself on here, unlike the other websites.

I am not so sure about that, you know. The Help section is suitably vague, as always... I think the reading, liking and responding to other's posts, responses and comments counts a lot more. Don't quote me, though... @Owlwings has a nice blog about the mechanics of myLot, the url for which I always forget...

oh, you're right. I figured if I don't have a big enough audience, I can't get these numbers up. i'm clearing .01 a day.

I have quite a few friends on here, but need to check into some others. Hard to find time to do everything that needs to be done on here.

Thank you for following me. LOL. It is best when we have a bunch of people that enjoy whatever we post for whatever reason we do. Sometimes I'll read a post and go "huh?", but try to read as much as I can and comment or like whatever I read.

I do not get alarmed when people follow me here. On Facebook it is a bit of a different story. Make sure you follow people who are active and you will find that your earnings will increase.

I've alarmed people before. Especially when I remember some of their stories and mention them.

It's better to have a reasonable amount of friends than to go overboard.

well, I;m not grabbing 100 a day....lol. I just have so few, I'm not being seen as much. My numbers are on the floor and today was the best day to read, read, read.

The more traffic you have, the better it is so I guess having more friends online is important.

Say as @MALUSE, after the Bubblews experience I try to limit the number of people I follow.

my only thought, I just didn't want writers to see me friend them from an article hey wrote weeks ago. i'm also reading the stories of similarity on the side. That's also why I wrote this.
