Arctic Blast Heading Our Way

It's a blustery cold Friday here in my neck of the woods.
We're due for an Arctic blast heading our way for the weekend with Sunday being frigid. I went out this morning to get some groceries as I certainly don't want to venture out if the weather gets as cold as they are predicting.
Of course it's winter so cold weather, snow and whatever else Old Man Winter throws our way can't be a surprise.
This is the second winter in a row that I've wished I was able to spend it in Florida like so many of my friends here. But, I'm hearing that Florida is cold too. Maybe I need to find somewhere more tropical? (yes, I'm dreaming)

It is nice and mild here in Oregon. Actually, our winter hasn't been all that cold, maybe a week, and that is about it. Most of the times, it has been in the 30's and 40's, and since last month it has been in the 40's at night and 50's in the daytime. For the next several days we will be in the 60's during the day, so it feels like spring is already here. I am loving it though, as I don't do good in cold weather.

@rosekiss I"m so jealous of your springlike weather. I wish we were having 60 degrees instead of the low teens we're at right now

@Marilynda1225 I don't do well in those temperatures at all. I don't understand why it is so cold for you guys this late in the season. I guess you had wamer weather earlier, and now you are paying for it with much colder weather. It really is surorusubg that we are having such warm weather right now, as it is unusual that is for sure, but I am not complaining about it at all, as I am loving it.

@much2say I'm all bundled up in layer of clothes while you're probably in flip flops and shorts there in Southern Cal

It was -9 when I went out this morning, I'm not sure what that is in farenheit, but negative anything is darned cold! But, we should accept the winter weather in the winter time and look forward to the spring. I was looking in my purse calendar and noticed that we spring ahead already next month, so it won't be long now!

@Marilynda1225 , here we are sweltering. It is 95 Fahrenheit, plus tons humidity, and not a breeze. I am threatening to stick my head inside the freezer! Though, good luck with the arctic blast heading your way.

@Marilynda1225 , I so agree. I would get a break from this terrible heat, and you could get a break from the terrible icy weather!

After the cold front sweeping here in the Midwest a couple of weeks ago, we are finally getting a much appreciated break from all the snow. We will be having 30s-40s this weekend. But we will be head further west this weekend and it will be a glorious 70s there. As someone who grew up in the Philippines, I totally miss the tropical climate and the beach.

Marilyn you can come to Tucson where today it is 80%. It is 10% above what the weather generally is at this time of year.. But today is beautiful...........

I had planned to run errands this afternoon, but we are experiencing heavy snow squalls with high winds. I'd rather deal with the cold, and go out tomorrow.

Yep, I am just a few hours from the coast and its freakin cold, last night it was 23° but today we recovered to 60° and tomorrow all day it`ll be 45°

Our Friday was cold too but not as cold as today is. For today saturday it is -1 with -30 below wind chill and sunday isn't going to be any better. I got my groceries last night after work so i wouldn't have to go back out this weekend either. Stay warm if you do venture out.
