Have any of you been following the story of a brother who duct taped his two sisters? I heard on the news where he put the photos on Facebook. His sisters are 2 years old and 6 months old and were hogtied in a bed then photos were taken. He is 15 years old.
I know that siblings can do some pretty awful things to each other but I think this is way out of line. He is 15 and his sisters are so young that it kind of goes beyond normal sibling behavior to me.
He is being charged with child abuse. I really think he needs to go for counseling. I have linked the article below. What do you think?
A 16-year-old boy faces criminal charges after police said he bound his two younger sisters with duct tape.

That is awful, if he were my son, he would find himself in some really deep trouble, especially if the authorities did nothing.

@simone10 At that age, if he had to stay with me, he would never be allowed alone with the younger ones, not even for a second.

@Carmelanirel2 I feel exactly the same way. I would be afraid that he might retaliate against the girls.

Yes he needs psychiatry though it may not fix the problem. Dangerous.

@TiarasOceanView That was one of my concerns as well. It might have all been innocent on his part but if that is the case, his decision making is not what it should be at his age and he should be evaluated and counseled.

I think that is just what little boys do. I remember my brother going through a stage in his young life, where he tied everything and everybody up. It had nothing to do with abuse.
I do not know how the law got involved in this, but this is ridicules. I feel for this family. He is just a kid himself, and needs to be home with his family. I mean they even said the boys has never been any trouble before, so give him a break. I do not think he would ever do it again.
Just for the record my brother enjoyed rope and duck tape at a young age, and he did not turn out to be a thug.
Now, this is my opinion and I understand everyone has one.

What concerns all of us is that the boy is 15 years old and should know better. His sisters are only 2 years old and 6 months old. They could have easily suffocated because their mouths were duct taped. I don't think he should be charged in this case but I do think he needs some serious counseling.

counselling certainly - child abuse may be stretching it though - still pretty weird behaviour

My older boys were always beating up on each other but never harming each other at such young ages. Sounds like he needs a bit of counseling to see if there is something more going on. But a word to say about boys at this age they don't always have their brains or common sense turned on.

I think the commercial for Cuties is probably why he did it, it shows a sister duct taping her little brother to the door.

@simone10 I do too but I think this is a bit of an over reaction by the officials.

@BelleStarr I have to agree. I think charging him with child abuse is carrying it a little too far but he should be closely monitored and should go to counseling.

Sounds like pretty bizarre behavior for a 15 yr old & I agree with you that he needs some sort of counseling. Makes me wonder what other crazy things he's done

Clearly there is something wrong with him. He definitely needs counseling and probably some time away from the family.
