Have your suggestions been implemented in the new myLot?

I had particularly asked for a dropdown menu for reporting giving us an opportunity to give reasons. I had also wanted the block feature to be removed These have not been implemented.

I'm pretty happy with the changes so far. The bigger font is a big plus in my view.

I surely do not want the block feature to be removed. I want to be free to block rude and disturbing users. While I would also like the possibility to write the reason of reporting.

The irrational way in which this feature is used it does not seem that this feature is of any use here.

Did @allknowing just imply that Anna is irrational? Or did it mean someone else or some members are irrational? I want to add that sometimes the block feature can also be used as a silencing tool.

All in good time! I know that the drop-down for reporting has been put forward as a suggestion and may well be implemented when the most important bugs have been ironed out. I am not sure what the PTB's attitude is to the 'Block' feature.

Just a thought on the drop down for reporting. I'm not sure if it is true. If the admin needs to be informed as to what is wrong then perhaps the report is bogus? What do you think about this?

@Bluedoll On most occasions it's unnecessary because the reason for reporting is usually obvious. It would be useful, however, if the URL of a plagiarised source could be entered, however. Admin would still have to check that the post was, indeed, plagiarised but if someone had already done the research, it would be easier to confirm.

@owlwings I forgot about that one. Yes that would be useful. I think the little buggers are getting smarter now as I've seen one being modified to the point where it is untraceable. However when you think about it that is not really a copy but more like research or the smart use of a writing program.

I want to keep the block feature though because there are members here who post stupid stuff on my discussions. Like this woman who doesnt read my work and she will just post "Nice work, Please like my discussions too" and this man who just go to my discussions just to troll me without violating the rules. Yes there is a subtle way to cyber bully someone without getting banned. What I want to be implemented is to stop using flash when it comes to comments so we will be getting less errors. They can keep the flash of the website but they make a flash free option for people with slow internet. I also want the categories back.

Stop using flash whatever that means - if you want that implemented you should take it up with Admin.

@allknowing I just remember something, Blocking a member is a suggestion of mine that got implemented years ago....only for Mylot to end their payment program days later. I am so happy that the payment program came back due to popular demand.

I don't suppose that we have got the finished version yet, as they must still be working on some things. I don't want the block feature removed because that is how I remove people from my 'followers' list. I don't want too much dross clogging up my list when I want to suggest a post. Useless followers can be removed by blocking them, but I then unblock them straight away.

I have so far blocked just one because of their rudeness. I have not suggested anyone's posts so far nor have I seen anyone suggesting mine and so that long list does not interfere with me any way, the only thing being those who follow should also participate which they do not in which case if I want, I can remove them from the list by just deleting them from that list but blocking is different.

@jaboUK When do you decide to unblock them? I know I cannot delete anyone who follows me. I find no harm if they follow me.I hardly unfollow anyone though. I have managed to be active here picking and choosing posts regardless of who I am following or who is following me.

@allknowing You can't remove those who are following you unless you do it the way I said. You can only delete the ones you are following.

I wanted more emoticons.... I also wished there be no block feature in the beginning but now having came across some exceptionally rude people I am happy that it is there. Although it would be better if we could cite our reasons for blocking anyone. And it would categorize them on the basis of those reasons. That would be helpful for the admins to monitor them...

I like the idea of suggestions. This post is a good example for a request but I do wonder about the last sentence. Was it meant to be disturbing? If there are expectations from suggestions then they are no longer suggestions but demands?
