He held his pain brush gently almost reverently
This dream weaver and the picture grew and changed
I watched him this side walk enterprenuer.
Do not mock him, this dream painter
AS I wtatched the colors on his easel blurred
Then changed to a scene so awe inspiring
Would I had that kind of talent
The scene was Ancient druids and fairys
This was back I wa nineteen and in San Fransisco
H e was a sidewalk artist a little gnome of a man
Painting me a dream on canvas that grew and changed
I called him a dream painter that day
He somehow knew I had run away from home
The painting was a farm, but not just any farm
As I looked it grew into my home, my love
He studied my face" child go home now.'
My dad came to San F rancisco to take me home.
I showed him the painting and he was floored
How did he know our farm, this is fantastic
I shook my head."I wondered that myself
WE flew home I was glad to be back
My mom looked at the painting and smiled
I asked her what she thought I was beguiled
" your guardian angel he sent you home.'
A true poem I was very y oung at nineteen left college and later regrettedi it and I went back to junior college then a final two years at the U Of Ca Irvine Ca and received my BA ikn English.
I really feel that the D reampainter was my guardian angel sent to make me go back home.To make me realize how foolish I had been to run away from college like that. But it was not til I was in my thirties I went back to Junior college for an AA in English, married with a s on just out of collge then anh 43 I went to the U of Cal at Irvine Calif for my BA
