I had to get a big list of groceries yesterday so before we did that my kids and I looked at what was playing at the discount cinema. It is only $2.25 per ticket. The two options we had were "Norm of the North" and "The Good Dinosaur". Both looked pretty cute but we chose to see Norm of the North playing at 2:45. We arrived about 20 minutes early. They have a very old candy machine there where you pay a quarter and play until you win. I gave each of my kids a quarter to play. Of all things my daughter got a red tootsie pop and she gets vicious with red dye. The movie is about a polar bear who can talk and tries to save his home from being destroyed by a company wanting to build homes there. I liked the message of the movie but the kids and I agreed it was a pretty boring movie. I only laughed one time and it wasn't a very hearty laugh. At Walmart we ran in to my sister and her three kids in the toy section. My daughter rode home with them and had a sleep over there.

Sounds like a fun time - even though the movie was quite boring. I bet your daughter had fun at the sleepover too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thank you so much :) We had a really nice weekend all of us. It was very calm at my house and my daughter had fun at the sleep over. She painted some white tiles that my father gave her. They got ruined though when she stacked them up and brought them home. I am going to wash the paint all off and let her redo them. She and my niece love arts and crafts.

@infatuatedbby My son saw them on the counter this morning and asked me what they were and what happened to them. I told them and told him that there is a whole box of the white tiles if he wants to paint some as well. He wanted to do it right then but I told him I will go get some of the tiles while he is at school today. I want it to warm up a little before I have to go outside and walk down the street to where my dad has them.

That sounds like a great time Shaggin. You are always such a good Mom to your kids. I laughed when you said your daughter gets vicious with the red dye..I remember that well with my own son when he was a toddler omg, nothing with dye in it, or he would go bonkers lolz

It seems to me that with my children it is only the red dye that effects them. A lot of times my daughter eats it at school when her friends bring in candy to lunch. It drives me nuts because she gets so nasty. It is really unbearable to be around them when they have had dye. People think I'm crazy when I say it but they don't have to be around it so they can think whatever they want. Sometimes I wish I would video tape them just to show them later and others how bad they get.

Years ago when I was young this was a $1.50 cinema. Up until a few months ago it was $2. Now it has been upped to $2.25. It is still such a great deal though. I do not mind the 25 cent increase per ticket just to have a nice time and be able to afford to go with my children.
