Is it just mine or does your diswasher take forever to run a cycle?

My dishwasher has 3 cycles, 1 hour, normal and pots and pans. I usually end up picking the one hour cycle, because it seems like the normal one takes like 2.5 hours, and the pots and pans. forget about it...that could run for 5 hours...It is craziness! By the time I get the dishwasher loaded today, I am going ot have to pick the one hour cycle again...or we will have no dishes for supper.. Apparently the manufacturers think no one needs dishes!
