Chinese Roast Meats

I'm crazy. I've been going to this Chinese roast meat stall too many times. It costs SGD$3 for a plate of quality roast meat, chicken rice, clear chicken soup - Deyyyem! If you're wondering, that dark black looking substance is sweet soy sauce and chicken rice chili.
I've ordered almost everything on their menu, roasted sesame chicken, thai style lemon chicken, Chinese style roasted pork belly and barbecue pork. They're so delicious and filling, I'm gonna...

@Ladypeace Sometimes where I live - not all the Asian food places are delicious which is why I opt for American Food. But I sure want to take a trip to Asia some time.

I am a Chinese and therefore I am quite familiar with the Chinese roast meats you mentioned above. In fact sometimes I can also make it at home with the oven. It is easy and delicious: This is my recipe but I am sorry that it is in Chinese.

@Ladypeace I am glad to hear that you can read and write in Chinese. I can't share my blog here since it is in Chinese and perhaps it is not useful for many people here. But at least it will make me happy to enjoy the photos anyway In fact you can see I have made some very nice dishes and I usually pick the easy dishes.

I adore roast beef too, especially when it's drenched with rich ju with a side of steamed vegetables. You're the first I've heard who is allergic to pork.

I see, you prefer steamed chicken. I'm fine with the steamed ones without skin. True, chicken rice is addictive but calorific!

Same here because roast simply yields such a great flavor and texture! It seals in the juices while cooking the meat through and tender.

Yeah, roast is just so tasty, I can't resist fried too. Best is food that doesn't burn a hole in our pockets.
