I'm off to London tomorrow to pay my F&F a flying visit. I'll endeavour to pop on each day and say hi. Have you been to London before?

I can't remember precisely how often I've been to London. I'd say about 15 times. Alone, with my husband, with my goddaughter and several times with my German A-level students of English.

It is a very long time since I last visited London. To be honest I do not like the place because I always used to end up walking far too much.

That is what the Underground network is provided for, to stop you walking.

@pgiblett I have ended up walking more than I have used the underground.

@pgiblett Sounds reasonable but isn't for a tourist. After all one has come to *see* things. All tourists walk too much in London even if they use the underground.

I've been to London. I haven't been in a few years, and last time I didn't want to leave. I would so love to live in the UK.

Say Hi to Heathrow for me! I used to live near there (when I worked for British Airways). I am a Londoner so know it pretty darn well.

Erm lol no! Am flying to city airport, that was a photo of "the docks" as the flight is about to land. I avoid Heathrow the best I can, horrid airport. Am a Londoner too actually. :)

@pgiblett it's far away, pain to get to if you're not in paddinton, always treat you like a criminal going in and out, check in takes ages, no enough seating place outside departure in terminal 5, terminals are too far apart. Transfer between terminals are always a stress. So ya I fail to see what's great about it, unless you mean the shops? But then I don't go to airport to shop. I just want to get to an airport fly, or land then get out. Heathrow is a time sink for that. I do however like BA and always try to fly with them, am a member of their club

I generally regard London as a place to keep out of - too many people scurrying around. I much prefer where I am at the moment - Spain.

I am lucky enough to live not far from Heathrow and have spent ages exploring the city and on a now defunct site I had put up little articles on the quirky and wierd history of the place. Really need to get back into that. Have a good trip

I have never ever been to London. I doubt that I I will ever get there, but that is okay, as I can't afford it anyway. I have seen pictures of it and videos of it, and it looks like a very nice city. I hope that your trip is a safe one, and that you enjoy your stay there.

I had a day and half in London during my Europe tour - a disappointment as it was the weekend when most of everything was closed.

@allknowing activity? You mean changing of the guards? That happens daily I think. My friend was one of the guards, they don't have day offs. These are elite soldiers of the British army. So ya their guards duty are real ones. Not sure what other activity goes down there. Now and then there's the queens coach going past but that's occasional and not a routine
