I'd Rather Be with Animals than Sick People

The weather in South Florida has been stupendous. Everyone has been out and about enjoying it, including my new friend, a little gecko, who actually came to me when I called him!!!
Since we didn't get the predicted rain, I took advantage of swimming and sunning at the pool. My brother, his wife, their dog, and my hubby joined me.
My most favorite part of the day was seeing Orville, the osprey. He was singing while fishing, as usual. I called him, and he flew to shore to hover and meet my family up close.
I managed to squeeze in a mani/ pedi, but friends had canceled lunch and dinner. Who wants to be around sick people? So my brother brought over his fresh sausages in tomato sauce for dinner.
So how has your day been?

You've been quite an animal whisperer haven't you? You and your family have spent the day very well despite someone feeling unwell. I don't have the luxury of a pool in my premises but I do take weekly swims at the public pool.

I have been ill and have thanked my friends for visiting. If they are ill, I try to do my best. I donĀ“t mind illness.

@marguicha That's different from a bacterial infection. I hope you continue to feel well and live a normal life.

Cute, little Gecko @DianneN . Sausages sound good to me. Weather here is gorgeous too although it's suppose to rain like the dickens starting Sunday night and lasting until at least Thursday.

@DianneN Yeah, I'm not a big rain person either; that just means more mowing, weed-wacking, etc. Orville wants your undivided attention.

Yikes! That's too long for me! Once a week is fine, but I get depressed just thinking about it. He is a cutie! Orville, the osprey, finally returned to his nest. He's been chattering for over an hour and keeping me from myLotting in peace.

We got up early and went to have bloodwork for my husband, then we had a great breakfast. This has been a Saturday putterday. You are turning into a real Doctor Doolittle calling geckos and osprey. We have pizza in the oven and then will eat Reeses peanut butter pie. Keep those sick people all away.

Your day seemed typical enough until you mentioned the Reeses peanut butter pie! Lucky you. Mmmmmm! That osprey is my FL pet and has responded to me since I met him three years ago. Who else would hover with a fish in front of my third floor bedroom window?

It sounds like fun. Can I come? I used to go to Fla every year. I miss it. I was just thinking about it. If my car was in better shape...I might take an impromptu trip.

I know someone who lives alone with his 2 dogs and 1 cat, he likes his garden and he makes sculptures. I saw he never takes out the weed and I asked him - aren't you afraid of rats and snakes to show up in your garden ?-
He told me - I'm more afraid of human beings-. I told him he was right.
Human beings can do terrible things unlike animals.
How can you just call a lizard and make it come to you ?
How did you become a friend with the osprey ?

Your friend is right. I was amazed that the gecko came to me, but it was very quiet at the pool. I call to that osprey in a very high voice every time I see him. He often sits on a palm frond nearby. I call him pretty, pretty bird, and applaud when he catches a fish and shows it off. He actually flew to my third floor window within 12 inches to show me his fish. He seems to like me for some reason. I love him. He's the king of this territory.

I don't think that I'd be too happy to have that little gecko around, and I can tell he was awfully close because you did get a great job. Orville, I could handle, but not the little gecko.
It was nice of your brother to bring supper over, we went out for supper just the 2 of us.
