Any techies out there? I have this local internet company on my payrolll for super cheap - for their minimum service plan. It usually runs, but runs slow during peak hours (after work, Saturday mornings, etc) but for the past week or so - its been completely dead. Not picking up any signal whatsoever - it will not even load Google. I called up the company and told them this, and they said they could come out and "upgrade" me up to the next package which has much faster internet speed. I said Ok and I was supposed to schedule an appointment but havent yet. I got to thinking -- would faster internet speed even matter if I get no signal? Any ideas? (By the way? Thank goodness for the newish Mylot mobile app - makes MyLotting on my phone a breeze!!!)

Ooh good point. I hadnt thought of that. I reset/unplugged the router and checked all the cords and Im at my wits end. Maybe I can call them and have them take a look at the router.

@maezee One time I had dropped my router (not hard or far) but just that damaged it. Another time was due to collection of cat hair.

I think the company men make it a chance to upgrade. Actually you have no signal in-spite of speed.

well if it was running at first, there might be somethin wrong with the device or its area where you had it installed. i assume this is wireless connection. if you're going to upgrade, make sure you let them connect you online first before you take the contract/service. cause you might be paying for something that doesnt really work.

The problem is signal and not the speed, therefore upgrading is NOT the solution for that. The better the signal, the faster internet speed is. The same problem I have that is why I am using my iPhone only.
