I hate being unfair...but at times I am

At times I am unfair because I am hurt or will be hurt; At times I am unfair because I am ignorant about somethings. At times I am unfair because I have misunderstood; At times I am unfair because I put others on pedestal and think they can't err; At times I am unfair because I am feeling protective towards somebody. At times I am unfair because I have little choice between the devil and the deep sea. At times I am unfair because I love a person who may hurt if I be fair. At times I am unfair because I have earlier been unfair to the person and I want to overlook something sort of to compensate for earlier mistake more to relieve my guilt; At times I am unfair because I am pig headed - this is not too often but then right situation to test me may not have arrived; I am never unfair when it comes to money matters other than bribing incidents in my life. Don't I know what is right and wrong? Of course I know... And still I go wrong...and have regrets... I am only human.

@vandana7 Nah, being unfair doesn't warrant a seat in hell, none of us are nice all the time, or fair all the time. We may think we're fair, but the other person may not perceive it that way at all or ever. This could be something like a prose poem, all poetry doesn't have to rhyme.

@TheHorse and @vandana7 Can a person be objective about being fair? Isn't fair like an opinion and not absolute? I think I need guidelines to answer your question fairly.

What is fair and unfair? Haven't got a clue.... Anyway who are we to decide? Just do what you feel is right and go with the flow. In the end its that big guy up there who gets to decide.

@vandana7 @CoralLevang Liar and the one at fault always raise their voice to stress their point and to overcome the truth. The truth does not need a loud voice. A truth said in calm manner hits home more than the thousand lies shouted. But it is also true that a lie said enough times starts sounding like a truth.

It is human to have biases, so don't be sorry about that. I am unfair, too, in many ways. But it is actually a big feat to be able to rise above our biases, in order to have a clearer picture of things -- and this is what I am striving for.

I can understand why you are unfair at such times. I empathize because I have the same problem at times for those same reasons. I try to see everything from all angles, but it doesn't always work. Is this what we PMed about? I think you were fair. You looked at all angles and that's all anyone can ask.
