So, I woke up late this morning and went to work late. Therefore, I had to work through lunch. Beings that I had to work through lunch, I brought my own lunch to work. Some really generous co-worker brought several bags of "oranges" to work they had grown in their yard with a sign to takes as many as you please. After I ate my lunch, I peeled one of these oranges and ate it. So sour and my mouth was puckered and almost hurting. "That's the sourest orange, I've ever eaten??!!??" "No wonder! That's a lemon, you dope!!" Lol.

That photo above reminds me of the time when my older son was a toddler and really wanted a taste of a sliced lemon we had. Boy, you should have seen his face when he tried that, LOL.

I absolutely love seeing kids faces trying one for the first time. Adorable!

Most babies make that face when they taste lemons but the crazy thing, I have found, it that they always want more, even though it makes their mouth pucker.

@IreneVincent Yes, they do tend to want more, my kids were that way.

Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson is reported to have loved fresh lemons. My youngest son also likes to eat lemon. I don't know how he does it.

I have a friend who loves to eat lemons. She and her daughter both. But, she realizes that all that acid isn't so good for her teeth.

How were you able to confuse a lemon with an orange? I'm sure you were prepared for something sweet not sour. Oh boy.

@jahunt Oh! I see that they were orangish colored and larger than a regular lemon.

@Teep11 These weren't regular looking lemons. They were orangish colored and larger than a regular lemon. And yes, it was quite a shock!

Ooops, I guess you were really hungry to survive eating that, but just think of the healthy vitamins you got from it!

HAHA! Not sure that would've helped although it couldn't have hurt anything.. These were orange colored and shaped like an orange. They were, however, some mutant species of lemons. Lol.

Add a little bit of sugar to the lemon and it will taste good.

Hmmm.... I'm wondering how you mistook a lemon for an orange. You must have really been out of it. Were you sleep walking all day? I'll bet that not so sweet strange looking orange sure woke you up.
