Getting Busy at Work

We're expected to have 70% capacity at both hotels tonight which will probably mean a lot of kids and their ever neglectful parents. LOL When I say both hotels I know that sounds confusing so let me explain. The hotel I work in is the older one and they build the new one next to it. Both are owned by the same company. We found out more about renovations coming in September. They are closing down the hotel I work in because most of the work will be done there. Expanding out the front, making two room suites and the front which now serves as breakfast and front desk will become a huge lobby. Housekeeping will be on the second floor of the newer building with laundry going to the older one. What is now laundry in the newer side will be turned into meeting rooms. The newer side will remain open for business but we have the option of going to the other hotels to work, staying and even helping with renovations. I imagine it will be a lot of fetch and carry work with clean up duty. Fine by me! I could use a break from cleaning up after messy guests.

It would be quite exciting to be in the middle of all these changes.

I think it will be fun seeing the changes as they happen.

I found it funny when you mentioned "neglectful parents", I wonder if they just let the children run around without paying attention at them. I always think it's quite interesting to work in hotels, though you might have to meet some difficult or messy guests that you mentioned. Hope you'll be happy at work tonight!

That's pretty much it. They let the kids run wild and they make a huge mess in the rooms.

Wow. That is probably a job that I could not do.

It isn't that bad once you get used to it.

I'm glad that you won't be out of work, and the renovations should make for a better work environment,
