Is posting poems a violation?

I was reading through the guidelines and saw where it said that posting just quotes is a violation. So I wondered if posting poems I've written would be considered that? So anyone know? All help appreciated! Thank you!

Several people are posting their own poems. Since MyLot is a discussion forum, however, you should really consider how the poem can be used to make or contribute to a discussion,

I don't understand your problem.YOUR poems are ok, of course. It's plagiarised stuff which isn't allowed. Or quotes without any further explanation.

Not a problem. Just a question. Wanted to make sure I wasn't violating anything because I'm new to this site.

I think quotes are too short as compared to poem. Let me hear the other oldies in this site.

I post a lot of poems on here and they are well received. You just need to make them so that other people can respond to them. Quotes are allowed as long as you attribute them and say something about them. On their own they are not allowed, but as a jump-off point they are fine.

Poems are fine here. For they are lo enough to read while quotations are just one or two lines sentence.

Poems are allowed. Quotes are prohibited but they don't include poems.
