Wow. I am Floored

It's unfortunate that I just found and probably won't be able to stay on the site. Apparently an admin just deleted a whole discussion of a fellow new member in which we tagged them to clarify an issue. As far as I can tell, neither the post nor the discussion violated any of the terms of service. This does not inspire good faith in me nor can I see how it would for anyone new to the site. It would have been nice to have the issue clarified in a response since everything was according to the TOS. I suppose this discussion will just get deleted as well. I really liked the interaction here but I guess if you wonder why membership is dropping, this will probably be one of the reasons.

Slow down. What discussion and what member is this referring to? I will let this stay up for a bit. I generally prefer to resolve these issues through messaging however.

@JolietJake @madcrochetlab Up until a few minutes ago, I had about 10 tabs open. It is entirely possible I removed it by mistake. If someone could please fill me in on the content and who the creator of it was, that would be very helpful.

@JolietJake @madcrochetlab Ok. I'll track them down and message them to let them know to re-post it. Thanks for the heads up guys. This discussion will be disappearing shortly as it has run it's course. In the future, if there is an issue with a removed post or anything along those lines. Please message me rather than posting a discussion on the matter.

Apparently you did not message A Dog A Day before deleting thier post in which you were tagged to clarify a question as another member told us we could not post things we had posted elsewhere on the internet or it could be considered plagiarism. As an artist, I am well aware of what plagiarism is, what copyright infringement is, and know how to abide by a TOS. There is no mention in the TOS that you cannot post your own work to myLot that you have published elsewhere. Even if there were, that would not be plagiarism if it is your own work. But the TOS clearly states that you give myLot the right to use your work, yet you still retain ownership over it and the right to do with it as you will, which should include posting it elsewhere. So I'm not sure why people were telling us that we must delete our work elsewhere if we are posting it here on myLot.

This is a very fair site so I am sure it will get resolved. You shouldn't leave, I am sure the admin will clarify your concerns for you.

I hope so. Nothing clarified yet, although the post may be returned. Issue still needs clarification though for the benefit of ALL on the platform.

Sounds like ab misunderstanding to me on the part of admin (who are not infallible by the way). Please don't leave as I am enjoying your discussions so far. This is a great site.

Sorry to hear that. What was it about? @GoAskAlice is the admin

That is who was tagged to clarify the original post in question. No clarification was provided. Discussion just deleted. What is a new member to think? I just had two very bad experiences on platforms that were incredibly biased and full of bad behavior.

@madcrochetlab Any stats you'd care to share?

@pgntwo Not going to discuss my sources but there are some discussions on the topic on myLot to start - you can check those out. That's what made me look closer. It could just be a phase too as things tend to ebb and rise on the internet, so I'm not claiming this is why any others left the site, but it certainly made me want to leave and the confusion could affect others too.
