Had To Leave Him At Home

When we moved to the US, we had to leave this guy at home. It all started with one little baby of Mom's cactus which she had had for years and years. This is how big he came to be and absolutely loved the outdoors. Before we had to give him away, I counted the flowers... there were 26 of them! I gave one "baby" to my son for safe keeping and now that we have moved back home to Canada, I asked for it back. We are only here temporarily so, it looks as if we might have to give the baby back to my son for safe keeping. At the moment, he is about 6 inches tall and badly in need of transplanting! If we keep moving, I'm never going to beat the record!!

Oh how sweet. Too bad the cactus had to be left behind. Blessings to a permanent place.

I will have to stop by the new owners and see how much bigger he has grown. For mom, he was a completely different shape and about 3 foot tall.

@Hate2Iron Isn't that a shame although you know he will be taken good care of.

Here's hoping that I can start him again from one of the babies :)

Your family is like mine, sharing plants back and forth. It is a family thing and lots of fun.

Not being able to take plants across the border has caused many a plant to be donated to others. My mother's Christmas cactus bloomed when we discussed throwing it away. It was so big, none of us had a place to put it.

It's really cool. More beautiful. My home has one with more flowers, yellow.
