Why do people clap their hands when they laugh?

I usually laugh when the joke hits to my mind. but i do clap my hands including laugh when the jokes hits my mind as well as my heart with full of pleasure. Its like a Extreme version of laughing. hahahah

i've never done that.. maybe it has become a habit or a reflex for some.. i have some friends who do that too

Not a clue. I always assume they've been possessed by an angry seal and throw fish at them.

I have never clapped my hands when I have laughed. I have slapped my knee at a really funny joke though. My grandma use to smack her thigh when she was angry or upset.

Well i'm not clap my hand when i laugh but when i laugh i can't control my voice. My laugh become louder if it to funny.
