Do your little ones or even your self have some kind of piggy bank? My oldest two have their own piggy banks where they keep change in it that they find or are give. My daughters is poke a dots, my middle son's is a pirate our youngest doesn't that one yet but will get one when he is 2 years old. The kids love feeding there pigs. When they get checks we put it into the bank for them since they each have there own bank account. The baby's goes straight to the bank no ,steer what he gets and we don't let the kids spend there money much at all. Normally at there birthday we will let them bug something and we tell them to keep it under a certain amount. Building up for the future. P

That is awesome. Teach them about saving while they are young! I still do noy have a piggy bank although I do have a jar I keep pennies in. I foolishly spend the rest of my change on coffee at work and other vending machine snacks.

Pennies us add up. That is what my kids mostly have in there piggy banks. I use to collect pennies it's as a kid and would put them in my bank and one day I brought them to the bank when I was 6 or 7 and had $70 worth of pennies. So you can them in and get counted well it depend on the bank.

I love the way you used the phrase "feeding the pigs". Seriously, I myself made my own coin bank out of old 3.5" diskettes that i made into a box. And of course i have my emergency in a bank.

My son has his piggy banks. I give him money every payday for the chores he does. He is 3 years old and loves putting money in there although we have never let him take money out of any of his banks.

We don't let the kids take it out of there piggy bank they have a physical bank account at the bank which we put money into or when they get it for there birthday. We let them for Christmas and birthday spend like $20 or $10 on something they want.

@farbuoloxusy They have a pig crayons that you fill with money. I have to say your childs information is already out there since the day they are born. I would definitally keep an eye on his SS because lots of people are stealing kids SS because parents don't keep eyes on that and credit cards are open with them.

@ShyBear88 We haven't opened my son a bank account I am on split ends about it. I don't want his information out there while hes so little but I worry about things I shouldn't far to often. So once he fills the piggy's we move them out and move a new one in. I was thinking about getting one of those big water jugs for him instead of buying another piggy.

My little niece has her own piggy bank. It is a typical piggy figurine. She seems so glad to have some coins from the family members.

No because it's in there room and they where sleeping. Never wake a sleeping child unless you want your eyes scratched out.

When my children were little, they had banks, maybe not piggies, but something. It was always nice when family visited and gave them some change to put in the bank. I now put my spare change in a jar, until I have enough to roll.

When I was a kid, I used to have piggy banks in the form of plastic containers of loose powders (empty). Once the plastic is filled with coins, I ask my parents to accompany me to the bank to deposit my coins. I carry that practice until this very moment.
