A photoslide show... following in some ancient footsteps

I went out for a walk today...,  which included a small piece of the 'pilgrims way...',  a footpath well trodden by many before me, in years gone by. The Pilgrims Way, is a historical route, believed to have been taken by pilgrims from Winchester,  to the shrine of Thomas Becket at Canterbury in Kent. The North Downs have acted as a highway,   between major towns, and, to various  religeous sights too, which includes cathedrals,  shrines,  and stonehenge. It is thought to closely follow  a pre-existing ancient trackway dated by archaeological finds to 500–450 BC, this ancient route followed the natural lay of the land, from east to west,  on the southern slopes of the North Downs, and this little piece, passes through kent. So I went on a little pilgrimage myself, uphill, with my camera, to take in the beauty of the English countryside... if i'm reading my app correctly, I walked 141 feet, uphill, to the summit, which was 800 feet, with great views of the surrounding countryside.
