Brushy One String: The one string guitarist

April 14, 2016 1:34pm CST
A few days ago I stumbled upon this amazing guy. He is a Jamaican musician who plays his one string guitar and makes really unique music. His songs are so groovy and fresh. I've fallen in love with this guy. I love the way he uses the body of the guitar as percussion. His music would just want you to jump up to your feet and groove! One seriously talented musician here! Here's my favorite. It's called Chicken in the Corn!

Cool! That's real folk music - making the most of whatever one has to make the sounds and keep the beat. He sure made me smile

Very interesting video, it reminds me of making the most of what you have.

That is very cool indeed. Sadly the sound isn't working on my computer so I can't actually hear it. BUT it looks very cool! I play guitar and to me it seems strange to make a melody only using one string!

Hi Abhilasha. I use to have less than all the strings on my guitar. Why couldn't I play it like this before I replaced the strings? He he he. Anyway, good show. Love Jamaica.
