Snowy weather in April

The last few days have been cold and busy here in England.
Friday started with a phone call from my boss, I'd slept in 
only the second time since I've been there. He was lovely about it though.
Then yesterday we had snow and ice, and today I had to scrape my car before work. Except the ice wouldn't scrape of properly so I ended up using deicer, which I'm not really a fan of as it just seems to fog up or refreeze.
It's been a strange few days.
I'm hoping the weather will improve as tomorrow I'm going down to stay in a caravan in sunny (hopefully) Skegness, with my husband and parents. It should be a nice time as none of us have been.
Skegness is a seaside town on the east coast of England. Further south than me so it should be warmer.
The photo is of a turnstone (I looked it up) taking on a warmer day last weekend.

i was hopin' yer winter'd left'cha 'n spring was'n full bloom there. ick't needin' to scrape 'n put schtuff'n the windows. i dont miss that fer nothin'!
i know that y'all enjoy the getaway regardless, but sure hope 'tis warm 'n with brilliant weather. can't wait to see pic's 'n get the 'scoop', lol.
what a cute lil bird, i'll need to go'n look't up myself now to find out more 'bout it :D

We had a lovely time, it was sunny but cold, but I've got lots of pics of cute animals. I hope you've been well

I hope it is warmer for you.... as you say it's a bit further south ... so should be nice... I hope you have a nice time.... Nice pic of the bird too.....

I don't think it's any warmer down here than it is up there! The last {and only} time I went to Skeggy Husband got really sick. That was at Butlin's though. :)

We were in the next village along, but there's a lot of sites to choose from butlins did look impressive though.

I'm pleased it didn't bother you too much, we had dry weather with some (cold) sunshine.
