The Affordable Care Act (ACA) aka Obama Care, was written in ways that were never sustainable. Billions of dollars cut from the defense budget and other places were used to maintain the illusion that it worked, and that it was a good thing. However, hospitals have been losing money, insurance companies are losing money, and 26 new taxes listed in the ACA's law have been applied to the country. Including the fact that people are penalized for not having insurance. The whole thing is a criminal act and should be destroyed. Already there are more efficient health services that have been rising in light of the failure of the ACA, and fortunately, those will be around long after the ACA finally meets its bitter end. After that, health care will truly become affordable, because it is a system that highlights competition, and when hospitals have to compete for patients, they lower costs.

they need to look at the fraud and price gouging in the field itself, hubby used to be an EMT, he would see them charge customers 200-400 for a bag of saline, that cost 40 cents to make and the company a dollar ro two, this was how EVERYTHING was on the trucks.

not surprising, and yes, I expect more and more to do so. until they cap the rampant price gouging for medical supplies and services (advil costing 60 bucks a pill? yeah whatever), this is bound to go belly up

All the more reason to go all the way, and switch to Canadian-style health coverage!

As a non citizen of the United States, I have always wondered about the efficacy of the obamacare system. All I read in the news is about how the scheme is only facilitating mass corruption and swindling of money. As a citizen , what's your take?

No business wants to lose money. Insurance companies losing that much money would definitely want to pull out. It's possible that other insurance companies may want to pull out.

Hi Peggy. Healthcare has always been a hit or miss game. Some have healthcare and wish it could be better, some lost healthcare for some reason or another. Some cannot afford healthcare. No matter how you look at it, there will always be problems associated with it. Do you remember the issues with Blue Cross and Blue Shield at one time? Preexisting condition, conditions? I really don't know how Obama care is going to work for everyone, but hopefully something gets worked out.
