Some peace and quiet

I have a dream of living someplace where all I can see is my son and nobody else. I don't care if it's just a one-bedroom house or apartment. I want to be able to drop off my son at school and I'll be either at my job or just working on a work-from home business and the day would end all peaceful and quiet. I would like to be in charge of our lives with nobody to answer to and nobody to explain to anyone who would never understand my point of view. I want to live my life thinking of only how I can raise my son. He's my top priority right now but if I have to also give to my parents, I'd do that as long as I don't have to hear anything negative from them ever, especially from my mother.

Life, for some people, is more like a nightmare rather than a pleasant dream. There are many demands on us and so we can only do so much. Try to find the best balance that you can and be happy with that.

I hope your parents will allow you to be the adult and live a peaceful life. If your mother is bothering you , you might want to sit with her and have a heart to heart...from one mother to another. Good luck!

@maxen07 I gather from your post that you are carrying a lot of extended family baggage. Well, I know what you mean by wanting peace and quiet. Its at times hard to ask your family members to back off inspite of knowing that they are your well-wishers.
