I understand people who want to earn a lot of money online because they're students and they need extra income, stay at home moms who wish to help their husband with the finances, or simply people who want to have an extra money to splurge.
I do understand your needs, but please don't message me if you only want to ask me to join your site so you could earn more. Because you'll surely receive a NO from me.
I like mylot a lot and I look forward to chatting with people that I have a friendly relation with. I like to have fun and be relaxed when I'm on here. Reading mylot discussions from interesting people inspire me, and sometimes even educate me. Let's just stay friends in mylot but don't ruin that by forcing me to join sites that I don't wish to join.

Please report anyone who sends you unsolicited PMs of this nature to Admin @goaskalice. This behaviour is unacceptable.

@toniganzon You can use the block option, if you wish, but it's simpler and less controversial to set your message preferences in "Settings" to "Only those I follow can message me", unfollow the person and, in future, be careful about those you follow.

I wonder what is acceptable? I don't have any product to solicit but if I did how would a person go about staying within the guidelines?
Say I wanted to sell a chicken on my website. I could post I RAISE CHICKENS then write about how some are cute as chicks. If someone commented on my post how they liked chickens ... I could _____________ What?
I'm not looking for other places to write for money anywhere else but some people might be. What could we recommend to others if that is their interest?

i talk about sites because there are sites that you can browse even if you're not a member, but i don't openly endorse them. i just tell them where to look and let them decide.
i'm not into referring or endorsing people either, online or offline, because i feel responsible for them if someone happens.

A site that works for me may not work for someone else.

I just don't have the time to do it anymore. And I usually tell people about that, but they don't seem convinced that I don't have the need for it and just keep pushing me which I don't appreciate.

you can go to your settings and choose the option that only those who are connected to you can send you PMs because mylot's default setting is anybody can PM us.

People who spam and harass via PMs are not required here. If they are doing it to one person, it's very likely that they are doing it to many more and they should be reported to Admin by sending a message to @goaskalice with a note of their username and a copy/paste of the messages received.

This is not the first time actually. Even in other sites it happens too. Some members just don't understand that they can't push people to join sites so they could earn from them.

@imravi I understand. But I have to be honest, i'm not here for the money. Been on mylot for 6 years and was active during the first few years. Then i went to live in another country for 6 months and i was in and out of mylot only to be visible to my friends here.
Now i'm here just because I love the company of people here that i have come to develop close relationship with.

It has been along time since I had someone private message me trying to get me to sign up for a site under them. I am thankful for that as it is annoying. If they write about a legit site then I may ask them for a referral but I would not want them contacting me about it without me asking them.

There are really some who would force you to join an online site for them to earn money as well. It is similar when you are in a particular place and people will keep running after you and beg you to buy their products no matter how many times you already said "NO". Sorry to hear about what you had experienced here. It certainly will piss me off if that happens to me too. I hope that by posting what you feel will make them stop from doing such unpleasant things.

I'm in sales too but I don't force people in a negative way. I know how to get them to buy a house and lot without actually forcing them!

Just ignore them so they won't be successful in such attempt. Mylot is indeed a nice place for online friendships where we learn a lot from people of different cultures.
