There's a little theater house about 45 minutes from our house. Yes. Real people that get up and do their very best to remember their lines. They gyrate, grimace, whatever the play demands. I love plays.
There's a matinee happening right on Mom's Day. 2 pm. Perfect for a Sunday drive.
And the memory that goes with My Town- this particular play that will be acted out. Me in a Midwestern high school class room. My teacher said that all us kids would not only read the play but we would read it out loud. Simple. Easy peasy.
The faces!! Oh Lordy. Everybody groaned and griped. And stumbled. Nobody could read much of anything. And yes, they all graduated. Me? Even then I dabbled in poetry and writing. I just read what the teacher told me. And got stared at. I think the boy who once asked me if I shop lifted was the one staring the most. He said: "ALL kids shoplift!" What a divide between me and those others.

I'm glad you found something fun to do, that day. I sometimes like plays too.

@Rohvannyn You should get into a small theater and do some acting. You'd be good at it.
