My Morning Buddy

I have a cat that is my buddy. He is the most loyal pet I've ever had. I can always count on him to be near me. If I'm on the laptop, he's at my feet. If I'm on the couch, he's either on the back of the couch or the opposite couch. If I go upstairs, he's up there with me. Well, you get the picture.
He's very familiar with my alarm and knows when it's time to wake up. This morning he was right by my side when the alarm went off. We came downstairs together to start our morning routine. Of course, feeding him is on top of the to do list. But I love this little guy of mine. He is my handsome buddy.

I have a kitten that is my current fur baby. His name is Huckleberry Blatherskite, and he is a ginger tabby about 9 months old. He was given to me about a month after my blogging buddy Guiness the Cat passed away. Huck has been training to be a kitty blogger. He has his own Facebook page, and hopefully he'll be getting his own dedicated website soon. In the meantime, he has taken over editing The Guiness Blog and helping me archive all of Guiness the Cat's old content from Bubblews and Persona Paper, and I expect he'll be helping me out here, as well.

@pinkCardigangirl If your cat had grown up with another cat it would be comfortable with it but the older they get the usually don't care for another cat. Kittens are very playful and energetic and it annoys the older cats.

Aw that's nice. I'm sure the cat is happy with all of the attention she's getting. :) My cat isn't cuddly. I wish he were, but he's still a great cat. Sometimes I want another cat, but then I feel like I can't do that to my cat. I don't want to make him uncomfortable.

@shaggin I think my cat is only a couple of years old. I believe that's when we adopted him. I want him to have a playmate, but I worry about the personality of a new cat too. What if she's cuddly. I would feel bad if she got all this affection because he's not cuddly. I don't want him to feel neglected. And then I don't want them to fight either. I just want everyone to be happy! lol :)

@pinkCardigangirl When I moved over there I gave everything up here so now I live in a shared house. Oh well I'm sure one day I will have my own place again.

Unpacking and getting settled in always takes awhile. I still have boxes that haven't been unpacked from a move I did several years back. :/

@kevin1877uk It will happen. Everything takes time especially after a big move. You didn't just move cities, you moved from one country to another. I would imagine it's kinda nice to have everything clean and start fresh too. :) Or maybe I feel that way because I'm trying to declutter over here, and I'm not sure where to begin. lol

Yeah we have a cat and a dog. The cat can sometimes be really affectionate and then other times she wants nothing to do with you lol
The dog though is just always playful and always wants to be near you. So cute.

@VivaLaDani13 I hope that Leilah feels better soon. Hey! I learned from rebelann today that cat lives for 16-17 years too. Her most cats did. Her Mom's did for 22 years. It was a new info for me. She said that the more clean and healthy surroundings they live in, the better they live

nit now I did years back midnight my female all black cat who patted my lips when she wanted to wake me for her morning feed, soft as satin she never scratcheed me It broek myh heart when we had to rehome her as we sold the house and had to move in to an apt and of course n0 pets were allowed Im in a reltrementcetner and while we can have a ca or a small do it costs beca use they riase the rents.

He's a very handsome boy! How wonderful that the two of you have such a great relationship! My cat, Ruby and I are like that. She "helped" me make the bed yesterday and we had a lot of fun. And when I get into bed at night, she hops into bed for some snuggling before she takes off for points unknown for the night. But the second she hears me getting out of bed, she comes running and she just gives me a big smile to start my day. Cats are the best :)

@pinkCardigangirl When my husband and I got married, he said he was a dog person, too. And then he fell in love with our cat and everything changed! :) You never know!

Aw that is sweet! Cats are very special. My boyfriend is more of a dog person, but I have always loved cats so he agreed to getting a cat. It's funny because my cat always bothers him when he's busy doing something. :D

I am so happy that you have a special buddy. My Sophie can be very sweet and can be mean as well. We are still getting to know each other.

I do have a special cat, Mildred and she is my buddy also. Although I don't set an alarm for the morning, Mildred wakes me up every morning to get her breakfast. Sometimes, if I don't immediately respond, she touches my cheek with her paw, so softly it amazes me. Cats are delightful pets and can be very loving.
