Sun worshipping has begun!

I came home a while ago from running errands and was a little surprised to see two of our residents in the side yard with their beach chairs in the sun, just basking! It is a beautiful day here and I guess I wasn't prepared for the sun worshipping to begin so soon! But it's almost Memorial Day so I really should not be surprised. I'm hoping to get out there myself over the weekend. Oh, not to sit in the sun and bake. That's for people unafraid of skin cancer. I'll find a spot in the shade to sit and read and get some fresh air. We have beautiful grounds here and I want to begin taking advantage of the area. Do you sit outside much? In the sun or not? -Claudia- image from pixabay

they'd be covered'n goose pimples 'n shiverin' here the past few days, lol. 'tis been quite dreary, with bitter cold winds'n barely a glimpse'f sunshine. when the weather allows, i'm mostly outdoors. not sittin' 'n the sun, i get more'n plenty'f that workin' with the horses, tendin' the grounds (when i can) 'n putterin' 'round the garden.

It's a beautiful day here as well. I haven't seen any sun worshipers yet, but I'm sure there are some around.

Yes once I took a good look at the calendar, I realized it's not as early as I'd imagined! lol

I do garden in the sun or shade, depending. I used to love sunbathing on the beach (younger days of course)

I don't sit too much as I'm usually busy gardening when I'm outside - but my husband sits in his chair and watches me! I'm glad that you have somewhere where you can get some fresh air.

Gardening is wonderful to do in the nice weather. I'm going to enjoy being outside again. I don't think I went out at all last year.

I've been out already to maintain my Florida tan, but always wear sunblock. I grew up on the beaches of CT and we put in a beautiful pool in our other house. When we moved, we joined a country club, a beach club, and another beach club. And you wonder why we bought a condo in South Florida! Lol! Nuff said! Enjoy your lovely new grounds. Those beaches in Rhode Island are awesome!

Yes, we do have some lovely beaches here and I love visiting them. I know of some wonderful restaurants right on the water that have outside dining and I'm already beginning to make plans to visit some of them during the daytime to take advantage of this great weather.

I sit outside but mostly in the shade - and certainly always with a hat and I take good care not to get sunburnt.

Hats are wonderful outside. I have some great sunblock and I need to buy more now that I'm going to be heading outside more.

I don't sit outside as much as I would like to, for various reasons, but when I do, I sit in the sun, unless it's really hot.

my sister was a true sun worshipper. She would go out there in the morning and only come inside to get some iced tea or to use the rest room. And then she was right back out in the sun! lol

I don't sit in the sun. I get most of my sun from working in the garden.

Gardening is a great way to be outside. I did that for years, too, and loved every second of it!

I sit out in the sun at times. Not too often for I had my fill of the tan and sunburn when younger. Now I am very careful about it.Yes,I do use sunscreen higher than forty

Sunscreen is so important and it allows me to be in the sun a little bit. But I'm not looking for a tan the way I used to. I've learned my lesson!

I do, too. It's so dangerous.
