Would You Let a Friend Walk Around With Their Shirt Inside Out?

I just read a discussion by @jahunt and the thought came to mind as to why her coworkers never mentioned how her hair looked. A few weeks ago I went into work with a black shirt on. It had flour on the front of it. I must have leaned against the counter where I had been making cookies the night before and not noticed the flour. Of course I would have to get it all over the front of my shirt and not realize it. If not for a coworker looking at the front of my shirt with that puzzled look that said "what is that on her shirt", I would have walked around all day like that. She should has said something to me though. I would have said something to her if it happened to her. I often go up to perfect strangers and tell them their tags are hanging out of their garments. That is how I roll. Have you ever walked around for hours with something totally amiss and nobody bothered to tell you? Do you get upset or laugh it off? Would you tell someone if their shirt were inside out? Or maybe they have a flagger hanging out of their nose.

I guess it would depend on how well I know the person. A friend, yes but a very casual acquaintance, probably not.

I have actually walked up to strangers and told them their tags were hanging out of their shirts. A couple of times I have seen people with their shirt buttoned wrong and pointed it out to them. I start with saying, "I am not trying to embarrass you, but", they thank me for telling them.

I've had people tell me my zipper was down and wasn't upset about it. It's better that someone tells you before you enter a crowded room and then everyone sees the accident on your shirt on whatever has stained ones clothing. Laughing it off helps.

I laugh it off it I am the one that it happens to. Better to laugh than to cry about it.

I would tell someone, quietly, right away if something was amiss with how they looked. I had to do that just today. I have a friend who is a messy eater and he had chicken breading all on his nose! I just nicely told him he needed to wipe his nose off (we were all eating and it was a loud room, no one was the wiser of what I said to him). He was thankful I said something so he didn't look messy.

I would rather have someone tell me than to let me walk around without knowing.

I think it depends on if I know the person or not. Now a days some people wear the clothes inside out on purpose.

I have seen some clothing that is constructed to look that way as well.

I promised hubby years ago I would not let him go out with nose hair, or something he needed to know about. in public I might text the boogy info to him, so as not to embarrass, but I have indeed told strangers a tag was hanging out...and got to work once with a shirt inside out, someone finally told me, lol!

You are lucky about the shirt. I went all day with my shirt inside out. Fortunately it really didn't look like it was due to the way it was constructed. I like the idea of the text to alert of a boogy. LOL. Unfortunately our phones don't work in most stores so I would have to tell him.

Yes, if you have a place to be able to do the quick change it is an easy fix. So are the tags. Why do we keep those tags anyway? We know what size we wear. Do others need to know?

@JESSY3236 I have done that as well. The remaining tag sometimes would make the collar curl up. The tags they put inside on the fabric is a better solution, but it can sometimes show through the outside of the shirt fabric.

@ElusiveButterfly I have cut out the tags in my shirts before. One shirt I had made a hole in it when cutting out the tag, and I wore the shirt anyway.

That is great that you would do that. I just don't understand how people wouldn't say a word.
