Does Anyone Remember Woolworths and Blts ?

One of my fondest memories is being a little kid wilth my parents in Woolworths store and eating bacon, tomato and lettuce sandwichs . I was always ready for one of those.Also Imust have been about 12 when I learned o love shrimp cocktails at Woolworths store too.
I Think I saw the last woolworths store shortly after we were marred and i had an appt with a dentst for an infected gum. We wentinto this oldwoolworths sotre andhad juge hamburgers and fries and it was so good.. My dentists office was right close to the store too.thatwould have b een back in 1958 wow long time back. those first yearsa of our marriabe were so lovelyy but all my marriae was good some downs, health probs and losing a child.

I went for a banana split on Saturdays and with the change from 50 cents I bought magazines and tropical fish

oh those day s everything was so cheap and you would get small change and go to the candy store and buy a l ot of cand y for little money wow

Yes, I remember Woolworth's from childhood. My mother once worked at a Woolworth's.

it seems l ike when I was a kid we did a lot of eating in W oolworths b ut surel y we did go to so me restaurans too lol

per wiki it sounds like these stores were around in some places at least until the 1990s, but possibly under another name
