How useful is Turmeric for Skin?

Whenever you think of Turmeric immediately you will recollect the sweet smell of a curry. Butter you stop thinking about curry...is it only the curry ..that comes to mind? No. Turmeric has got many skin benefits also. Turmeric is used in almost all Indian cuisines to make them delicious.It plays a great role in the spice mixture. It will be available in any grocery stores but you should ensure that it is 100% pure without any additives.
It is an anti-inflammatory antibacterial agent. As such it helps to reduce redness from blemishes.and it's antibacterial properties protect the skin from infection.
It is known for reducing acne and scarring
People who regularly use this on the skin will find a noticeable change in their skin.
It is also antioxidant that fends off free radicals that cause ageing and it also helps correct an uneven skin tone. Once one starts using turmeric he will stop using any foundation altogether.
Besides this it is also used as a dye. For this, one should consult a beautician or a doctor as it needs proper guidance.

Hmm. I had heard about the anti-inflammatory properties, and use some on one meal a day. But the turmeric I buy doesn't have any 'taste' I can sense ... am I buying it less-than 100% pure?

@JamesHxstatic maybe I was 'trying to taste something different'; the way salt taste more like "sand" if you're trying to taste sweetness ...

Turmeric has much health benefits.We use turmeric daily in my house for making curries. We also wash meat, fish, and vegetables with turmeric.It acts as a preservative.
