Smoothie For Your Health

Are you fond of making and drinking smoothie? What kind of smoothie you like to make? I love harvesting strawberries in a farm open for the public. I can harvest the strawberries, eat some while harvesting and I only have to pay what I have harvested. It's even cheaper than buying in the supermarket. Then I freeze the strawberries for making smoothies or for filling my strawberry cake. When I make smoothies, I usually don't plan it and I just use the fruits that I have at home like banana or apple. So, what kind of smoothie you love to drink?

I have been incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables into smoothie drinks/juices for a more healthier balance.

Yes, fruits and vegetables are a good combination @infatuatedbby. Have you tried kale for your smoothie? It's not only healthy but also yummy.

@thelme55 Yes I am using kale. I don't like to eat vegetables so I blend/hide it in my juice/smoothie so I cannot taste it.

@infatuatedbby wise idea. My father doesn't like guava but when I made guava smoothie with other fruits, he loved it. I told him after he drunk the smoothie.

Because it is healthy and you can mix the veggies that you don't like, like kale with your favourite fruits @trivia

My son makes his own all the time... Banana-berries is probably the most common combination he makes... But sometimes he uses other fruits too, like avocados...

@thelme55 they make the smoothie really thick though, unless he puts lots of milk or ice...

Like you I don't plan out a smoothie recipe. It's whatever is in the house. But I am partial to smoothies that include pineapple or mango in the recipe.

@thelme55 Soya could work for me - I love strawberries so I could just make it with ice as well.

For me too as I am lactose intolerant but a spoonful of milk is okay for me. Not a glass of milk though or else I will be in trouble @inlemay. I use soya milk.

I've been making smoothies for 5 months now, ever since I got a blender for X-mas. I love fruit smoothies and would love to do green and veggie smoothies this summer.

Here it is still pretty expensive to pick our own berries. But they are delicious and worth it.

I had an orange smoothie once and tried to make one at home but did not turn out good. I like to make milk shakes at home instead in my blender.

@Hannihar I see. Maybe there was something missing in your smoothie. I do not like the bought one as it is too sweet for my taste.
