I've Overdone It This Time

I guess my day was a little too busy. My body is screaming for me to stop. And so I've stopped. I went grocery shopping this morning. I experienced a bit more pain than usual walking the store, so it felt really good once I was done and was able to sit on the bench while I waited for our ride to arrive. I got home, put everything away and was able to have a little lunch before my next ride arrived to bring me to my old house where I put out the garbage and went up to my old bedroom to grab the tower fan to bring back here. It's going to be in the 80s the next few days and since I don't yet have an air conditioner, I can at least have a fan to move the hot air around. I also brought more clothes back here, including more shorts. I didn't really need them much until now, so it's nice to have summer clothes here finally! But with all the walking and all the stairs at the house, my knees are screaming and I have one heck of a muscle spasm in my neck. Yes, I overdid it today. I'm headed back to the house tomorrow to bring the garbage cans back in and see if I need anything else from the house. And then I'm done being this kind of busy until after the holiday. It will be nice to sit back with a new book and relax! Hope you're all doing well. It's time to come around and visit. I'm having an iced tea! What will you have? -Claudia- image from pixabay

It must be quite nice to have had these few weeks where you can pick and choose what you want from the house.

@CRK109 And stuff gets put away as you bring it home. Great idea.

yes after the horror of having to move such a big chunk of stuff from the house, this has been rather pleasant, making little trips and getting a few things at a time, so the apartment never gets overloaded with stuff. This is the way I've always known moving to be, :)

I gather your old house isn't occupied or sold yet. Sorry you've overdone things today, and I hope you enjoy your iced tea. I like my tea hot.

@CRK109 Seems as if you still have a bit of time to sort through what is left and can make a decision without pressure

they will be selling the house on July 5th. So I need to figure out what will be my last day there and make absolutely sure there's nothing else there that I want!

Maybe a little bit! lol I think I've been cooped up in this little apartment too long! I need to begin taking advantage of the good weather and begin getting out and stretching my legs a little bit every day. Then maybe I can keep up with myself more! :)

oh how I'd love to soak in some epsom salts. Problem is, if I were to get down into the tub, I'm not sure I'd be able to get out again! But meanwhile, I've made you some tea! :)

Sit and relax. Don't do too much tomorrow so your muscles and knees stop bothering you so much. This advice comes from the dumb blonde that dug up 3 garden beds this weekend forgetting that she should relax because it was her weekend off. LOL.

That's a lot to do in a day, its no wonder your body was screaming out. I didn't realize that you had both places still. I hope that you're able to get what you need for a while when you go back tomorrow.

Our warmer weather has made me start looking for summer clothes too. I just got a tower fan to help circulate the air since I hate running the a/c day & night. Hope you have rested and feeling better after all your tasks

I think I overdid it the past couple days as well. Last week it rained every day, so I took advantage of the sunshine and got a lot of work done outside that needed doing. Mike worked in the garden. It has been nice but like you, I'm ready to slow down a wee bit now. Have a blessed evening
