Have you seen this movie yet? Do you think that people should avenge others? Should someone be able to go out and kill others b/c they do bad things, or should the law handle the matter? Is the law handling or fixing anything, though?

Awesome movie! My fave part is when they fall through the ceiling. Bust my gut every time. Red tape (yes, and corruption) prevents alot of things being done by proper law enforcement. Sometimes people get so fed up that they don't know what else to do but to do it themselves. Is it right, well, I don't know. But it is often justified, and there are times where I would look the other way.

By the way, I heard that the sequel is finished but that Troy Duffy didn't want to do things the way that the distributors wanted to so he never released it. I don't know whether that is true or not. Found an interesting interview at http://attrition.org/movies/duffy.html. I don't know how old it is but it is between the release of the original and filming of the sequel.

I hope they finally put it out, I'm looking forward to seeing it, although I suspect one of the brothers is probably going to die in it. Just a thought.

I have not seen this movie yet. I am going to rent it if I can find it while I am out today. A friend of mine absolutely loved this movie. He was recently murdered after confronting someone over hitting his friends car.

That really sucks, but I see your point whether you meant to make it or not. That's one in favor of the movie's premise.

I have seen it and loved it since I first saw it. I loved the cat scene... I slowed it down and watched it like 15 times. It was hilarious. But other than that, it was a great movie over all.

My boyfriend likes that scene too, he's always stopping it and acting it out, "I killed your cat!" and "If you can tell me that cat's name, I'll blow my brains out"...and then when they say it (make it up, in my opinion), "Well what color was it!!" :) Good times.

I love this movie more than any other movie I have ever seen. I think that people should be able to avenge others. The legal system moves too slow and allows for opportunities for the "bad people" to continue doing bad things. This movie made me want to become an 'avenger'! :)

I agree - the legal system is slow and CORRUPT. I want to be a research attorney (either that or a court reporter or paralegal) and make sure that my cases are done CORRECTLY and that all of the facts are figured out, no mistakes would be acceptable. There is too many false arrests and then after the truth is found out, some poor guy has spent 10 years in prison or more and his life is destroyed. Often there is no compensation at all, just a lame "We're sorry".

meh, i guess they figure that the law has too many loop holes and that the people in charge and up hold the law can be bought. You know the saying "if you want something done right, then do it yourself" :P

That's true. If there weren't so many crooked cops and politicians that can be bought, America would probably be a much better place!

I have to admit this movie is on my Top 5 List. I can watch it over and over and still catch things from the set design that I didn't catch before. I'm a film student so these types of movies are my favorite. I've been hearing for a while that there is supposed to be a part 2, but I've yet to hear anything more than that. It's supposed to be called Boondock Saints: All Saints day. That's all the information that I have at this time. If I uncover anything else I will definately let everyone know.

That's what I heard too, that there would be one but it's not coming out until about 2008. What is "set design"? I love movies but I'm not in theater or film or anything, I just love watching movies.

I have seen it, and it's a very very good movie! But to realize the concept, i don't think would be a good idea! The police should handle those kind of things... I know they don't get all "bad people" but well, i think thats better than some guys just run around and kill all people they see as bad people!

The police? They are just as corrupt as the criminals, if you ask me!

I want to know whatever happened to the sequel. We've been waiting for it for like 7 years now. Even the website still talks about it, the cast list, etc but of course, it still says it's in filming. I really want the sequel! I'm tired of reading "in filming" for 7 years!

I don't believe that people should avenge others, the law should definitley handle it though they waste their time on petty offenses just to get their rocks off! I think the movie was brilliant. I have made everyone from my father, my cousins, my roommates, to my co-workers fall in love with this movie!

Boondock Saints - the one on the left is cuter - Boondock Saints
It does seem to be pretty popular, pretty much everyone I've mentioned it to has at least either seen it or heard of it. I think it's a great movie, and those boys are both kind of cute! :)

I agree with the Saints. Policemen are bought and sold everyday. Watch "The O'Reilly Factor" for a week and you'll hear about pedophiles getting a guilty verdict, and NO SENTENCE! It's deplorable. Someone needs to kill those #$%&ers.
