I have stopped coming here because my inbox is always full of money making schemes. This has got to stop. If you want to risk God knows what to what is more than likely a scam, more power to you, but don't plague me with it. Ok, rant over. Y'all can all go back to whatever you were doing.

Admin had already posted a discussion where they've done something to those spammers. If that happens to you again please report it to the admin immediately by sending a message to goaskalice

Thanks, Toni, I will definitely do that. I'm retired, and definitely not interested in throwing my money away. The messages got annoying. I wish we could have more control over who we get messages from. I would prefer an option to only receive messages from friends.

There were two PM spammers ('sadser' and 'miiko29') which Admin dealt with very quickly and there is now a system in place which should prevent people from doing this kind of mass spamming in future. You should delete those messages If you receive any further messages about money making schemes &c which you did not ask for, or any other undesirable messages, you should report them by sending a PM to GoAskAlice (see link to profile below) with the username of the person. You can change your preferences about who can send you messages in 'Settings'/'Account Settings'. I would suggest that you select "Only those I follow can message me".

I've had very few spam messages but I see some members have now told you how to get just the messages you want.

Spam can be irritating, but it doesn't bother me all that much. It's as simple as pressing the delete button and blocking them. I have received a handful of spam messages and just ended up deleting them. From what I've noticed, the spamming profiles have been removed fairly fast.
