Learn to value things before its too late

I don't know if it happens with others but I always learn to value things even small small things or people in life when I loose them or about to loose except my weight that I will love to loose more and never regret losing, jokes apart.I am always busy with other trivial things and most important ones pass me and then I run after them but by then its too late...

I guess I learned somewhat the hard way. But I am fine with that since it is not fatal. Like a wake up call. SO I have decided that tomorrow, May 31st will be the day I stop smoking for good. And it really has to be done. I have no choice. Well, I do, but it makes no sense to continue.

It's important to learn not to take what you have for granted. People often get so busy in life, and fail to see the true value in things. Sure our world is busy, that's not going to change. It's how we manage it, that matters.

People, animals, nature, kindness, and simple matter to me. Material never has. I really appreciate what I have and value friendships. Sometimes I get caught up in things and let something slide and regret it.

I always value things, especially those given to me as gifts though how small or how little their monetary value might be.

@jerry260188 Yes, and those are the intangibles that we also appreciate and cherish.

Its good that you value things when they are with you. Here I m not just talking about gifts. For example I learned to appreciate my mom's cooking only after I started living in hostel where I had to sometimes go hungry if I didn't manage to reach on time for lunch or dinner.I wish I could have told her then that she makes lovely dishes.

I used to feel that more often previously but slowly and gradually I have tried to identify my likes and dislikes and I try not to loose things which I think I will regret later. That said it is easier said than done.

you can never come back to the time of the past but it is never too late to correct wrongdoings for the future.
