How important is money to you?

June 2, 2016 6:47am CST
This is probably a well discussed topic, I do not know. But the question has always been out there, well, I have seen and heard it many of times elsewhere. Almost everything cost money out there. In my opinion (which will differ from others) money is important to an extent. I think that there are to things we can buy, 1) Necessities, the things we need to buy in-order to stay alive and comfortable. 2)Things that we desire but can still live with the absence of. Thus for me the importance of money is very important up until there is enough to support the necessities (ie. Water, gas, Electricity, Food). We live in a growing materialistic world where some people class some possessions as necessities. so how important is money to you? Do you class any of your materialistic possessions as necessities and since the world is changing should the things we class as necessities change also?

Yes I think that too. But definitely the degree of worry, and the degree of happiness depends on ones personality and their perspectives but that's my opinion.

@kevinli9424 Yes, indeed! Some people can be happy no matter what situation they are in. Mindset is more important!

Money is important in that we need it to pay bills, buy things, etc. But we shouldn't let money become our god. The Holy Bible says that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil, not money itself. It all depends on its importance in our lives.

Obviously th necessities of life need to be covered. I like to have a spare dollar or two, but don't dwell on money.

I like to believe that there needs to be a fine balance between, finance, health and time. Sometimes people work so hard, use a lot of time but in the end in doing so they cause harm to their health. And when their health is damaged severely were even finance can't fix it and lifetime is shortened because of it. Is it really worth it? But I know that there is no real simple answer. Depending on ones lifestyle one will say its worth it, while in another lifestyle one will say it's not.

I envy people who work so hard. I am only 21 years old with lots of mixed thoughts, with lots of things to learn about life.

Everyone needs money, but I have never seen it like a goal in life. As long as I will have enough to live the quiet life I enjoy, I will be happy. I believe that it is better for me to own my house, but the only necessity is to have a roof, and I would live as well if I was renting the roof on my head...

I have always said to myself that as long as I have a roof on my head then I am good, I think because I've always seen how hard my parents work so I can have the life I do right now. And I have also felt how much I can live without some of the materials some people "can't" live without. But when i'm hungry or thirsty or in the cold and rain, it is definitely a lot more harsher.

Money is important to everyone, though a lot of people won't admit it. I think we are all a little materialistic, some more than others. Also what some people think is a necessity, may not be one to someone else.

My opinion is too that money is important to everyone but I also think opinions of importance varies between people. Would you say necessity depends on the persons lifestyle.

Money is important to me because it allows me to have anything I want besides that it is indeed a tool to make life a bit easier. Some people want more money because their whole lives depends on it, basically it is a lifestyle.

Importance of money I would agree will always be an opinion, their opinion is always definitely based on their lifestyle (correct me if im wrong).

Money is important. As they say money makes many things. However relationship s and love are more important. Coming to necessity the world is changing and so are the necessities. The minimum we can keep them the need for money becomes less.
