I am upset at thinking about myu blood test today as yesterday it was too high. So now I pray it will be closer to normal again. 'today I took the filling out of te sloopy joe and just consumed it and left the the bun. Those buns are high in calories and s imple carbs that shoot up ones blood sugar.. I hop;e dinner will be a bit easier on the simple carbs so I can eat most of it, chicken tender with vegetables and I do not know what'else,. So I wi ll see when I go down to get my blood test done. I tested welll 86 so leaving out that roll helped so much. ''chicken tenders and mixed veggies and mashed potatoes plus a tiny portion of pecan pie, coffee, Lemonade and milk was a filling dinner on a hot afternoon. Sounds like a good supper. Enjoy and skip what is not good for you to eat.

Yes, sometimes we must pick and choose. Eat the potatoes or the bun, and not both. You are doing well. Once in a while a high reading is to be expected.

It was a good idea to leave the bun. They are high in carbohydrates and are high in fat, most likely.

@Hatley I guess it would be okay to eat it sometimes, but not every day. I guess you have to decide what you can eat in each meal and just leave the rest. They should not complain since everyone gets the same food with no regard for special diets.
