I know a lot of people block people for various reasons, but I found a person whose posts I like to read very much was blocked by me. I have no idea how that happened because I don't block anybody. I quickly unblocked this person and sent an apology to express my sadness that this happened. I would like to know how something like that happened when I clearly didn't do it.
Another thing that happened today, was that I reported a person who clearly violated the rules with a comment on my post. Normally I would just delete and then think about reporting it, but it was always too late for that because the comment was already gone. This time I reported the comment, so I expect it should be gone as well as the person who posted the comment. It was a spam comment about earning on another site.
So spammers beware, I will report you. I don't tolerate anyone who violates the rules commenting on my posts.
Have you seen spammers commenting on your posts? Or found you blocked someone when you didn't?

So far, neither of those things has happened to me. You did the right thing with that spam comment. I did have some spam messages which I did report.

@just4him - Hopefully, Admin can figure out how the block happened. But thanks for letting us know that such a thing does happen. If something like that is happening and you don't even know it, that's a even bigger problem!

@just4him I found it after a plagiarist removed my response giving a link to the original post and blocked me
. When you block someone, it might be a bug but you can post a response that the blocked member will not see, and therefore will not be able to delete.

It's interesting that you can do that - posting a link they can't remove. You shouldn't be able to remove a link on a post anyway. It's late and I can't wrap my head around that comment. I'm glad you found a way so they can't take your work.

@topffer I found out he was blocked when I went to check to see if I was still following him as I couldn't find him on my following list. I had read a post, commented on it, and then checked it out. I couldn't figure out what I was seeing at first, thinking I was blocked, but if that were the case I wouldn't be able to comment. So I tested the waters and found I had blocked, though I have no idea how or when that happened. I unblocked him and re-followed him.

If I could figure out how that person got blocked, I'd be happy. I must have been playing on the computer in my sleep. It's the only explanation. I know that didn't happen, so no idea how or when it happened. I usually just delete spammers. This time I reported it.

I have been blocked by some, no idea why but all well. I never blocked anyone and hope to not accidental block anyone either. As far as reporting - I will report spams as well.

I have found spammers but not on my posts. On their own. I have never, that I know of accidentally blocked anyone. It may still be a bit glitchy around here.

Seems to be happening more often. I don't know how it got blocked. It remains a mystery.

Spammers are a part of any internet site. And I think you did the right think by reporting them. As for someone being blocked that you never blocked, well, that was either a glitch or just maybe you hit the wrong button. It could happen. But as long as that is fixed now, I don't think you will have anymore problems.

Oh no sad to hear but I wish you mentioned that user here on mylot so that we can now the reason behind,, anyway yep I always saw spammers I kept on reporting them before but after I saw what admin does to them, I stopped reporting them because it's pointless to report spammers without good punishment

They get rid of spammers. That's the best punishment. I don't know what you mean. I had accidentally, but don't know how, blocked someone. As I never block anyone it was a surprise to me. I won't say who it was I had accidentally blocked.

Hello @just4him that's crazy, they were two idiots spammed my Private Message but when it was my turn to report them, they were done. We can't stop otherwise they will abuse big time and will doing again. good job for what you did. Don't remember experiencing spam on my posts recently, though

They have sent me messages in the inbox spamming, I have not had it in my post. I don't know if anyone is accidently is blocked, I haven't checked, I hoped not.

I've now gotten them in my inbox and in my posts. As for blocking, I hope there aren't anymore I don't know about and hope it was only a glitch.

I've had a lot of spam lately but not blocking yet. I hope the mods find a way to block some spammers but they seem to find ways around it. All we can do is block our inbox from anyone except friends. I'm not sure if they can do this, I'm not techy, but maybe not allow anyone to comment until they have approved postings of their own.

I don't know what the answer for spammers is. As far as messaging, it's all or nothing, at least from what I've seen, unless they've changed things with the recent wave of spammers.

No, I did not see any spammers on my discussions and I will surely report if I find someone that spams. And I never found out that I blocked someone, I did not even knew that this can be done on myLot, I will check that out. :) Thanks for that information..
