I am not happy with the weather today

After a very long period of either bad or changeable weather, it is finally starting to settle into summer here. Today we have beautiful clear skies, glorious sunshine and around 75 Fahrenheit. Ordinarily I would be delighted that the weather has improved so much, but tomorrow I fly to Turkey. It is always more enjoyable to fly away from the poor weather to such a hot climate. I would have preferred that it was overcast and raining this week and brighten up next week when I return.

Did you forget your sacrifice to the weather gods?

I could not find anyone to sacrifice, otherwise I would.

@Jeanniemaries Maybe so, but sacrificing a virgin is much more fun.

@Asylum For something as simple as weather a pair of turtle doves would suffice.

@ElizabethWallace yes but you have to leave to find the in-between, Barry is off to Turkey for some R&R for a few days - I hope the weather there is fabulous @Asylum

Sure there is. This is why the ancestors of those of us who live along the SoCal coast left the UK all those years ago.

Lately I've been having expectations. It is a nice day outside so I should have a nice day! Maybe not. Perhaps I will have a nice day on a rainy day?

@Bluedoll Umbrellas are an integral part of England, although the heavy fogs are a thing of the past now.

The old adage is right, timing is everything. Maybe this is a taste of the weather you can expect while on your trip, and the weather will stink in the UK while you are gone?

@ElizabethWallace That rather depends were the island is. Predicting the weather on a Mediterranean Island would be more reliable than in England.

I expect very hot weather in Turkey, whereas the UK is always unpredictable.

@Asylum I think island weather is tough to predict.

@JudyEv I am accustomed to sunburn because I am rarely sensible enough to avoid it.

I often travel at winter, which is a wonderful feeling flying away from the cold.
