Having Cake halfway through writing makes a difference!

My header comes from Judy @JudyEv who responded to my comment on my the post "Touch has a memory" whereby I told her that I went for a break and cake while writing my post. Sometimes its necessary to have a break, a breather, a slice of cake or just something out of the ordinary to spur one into a new mode of thought! I got some delicious thoughts from my "Very Berry Jack" which was flapjacks or crumpets in some parts of the world, doused in cream and drizzled with all sorts of berries and syrup. I thought it was a great get-a-way and Judy concurred. My photo was taken with my cell phone - sorry its not as good as it tasted!

Do not tempt me Lany, I have decided to diet for a month. I have gained 3 pounds since Christmas and I surely do not want to keep them forever.

@Inlemay I hope to get rid of those pounds in less than one month, it's hard to see hubby eating everything he likes and to refrain from eating. He is lucky, he did not gain a single pound since we are married.

I took a break this afternoon and went to this coffee shop and indulged myself with their chicken and mushroom pasta. It was delicious.

@Inlemay In this country, any food without rice is just a snack.

@toniganzon I love rice, we have rice as a snack - if there is rice from a meal left over, we fry it up with some veggies for a light snack

mmm, that does look delicious. A break can often spur us on with a task or in this case change up the thought processes.

@Inlemay Looks absolutely delicious. I agree with the rest that the cake break is a good idea.I usually refuel myself with green tea.

any refreshment is welcome if we sit too long. I cannot drink green tea anymore as my blood pressure is too low.

Looks great though, that piece of cake! I believe a little break does all of us good, jolting us out of the monotonous routine and infusing new ideas, so we can change and improvise using that idea whenever needed.

Your choices of food sound delicious. I do eat inbetween meals and do not like that I do. I have to cut back and try and just eat my meals and only drink inbetween.
