PitMad Alert! and some questions about Twitter

United States
June 9, 2016 3:49pm CST
Today is PitMad day where authors post a quick pitch for his or her novels on twitter 3 times today and agents loo for these pitches and if an agent is interested, he or she will favorite my tweet. Here is the information about that under the "Rules" second paragraph: Not being big on Twitter, I am not sure if "liking" a tweet is the same as "favorite" I can find how to like a tweet, but not favorite. I have posted 2 tweets and so far I have 2 likes, 1 positive reply, and I was added to a "List" whatever that is. So anyone who knows a lot about Twitter, is like and favorite the same and what is a list?

I believe liking and favoriting on Twitter are the same thing. A list is how a twitter user can keep groups of similar twitter users together.

Oh that is so cool, because one of the members that liked my tweet is a publisher!!!!

@Carmelanirel2 That's great news. I hope it turns into a great opportunity for you.

@DWDavis Unfortunately after doing some research, both are publishers for e-books, not for a printed format. However, I tweeted my last one hoping an agent/publisher who publishes in print format, as well will like it.

Sounds like it is not so bad. Here we can't log up Twitter,so don't get what you talk about like and favorite.I suppose writing a 140 character pitch would tax writers' brains.

@changjiangzhibin89 Well, unfortunately the 2 were both e-book publishers, however I got a third like and from the quick research I did, she also publishes in printed form.

Hi chang, long time since I seen you around, hope all is well. Yes, I really don't like Twitter, but glad I kept my account for this. And writing 140 characters about my novel and making it interesting is not easy, but I got another like overnight, but won't have a chance to research this agent until later.

Thanks, I was right, liking a tweet is the same as it being a favorite, but I have been so busy, I never got around to submitting my novel, so it will have to wait until next time.

I've never gotten into Twitter even though it's so popular

I don't know how popular it really is, not many of my friends use it that much.

Thanks. I got two likes, but both publish e-books, not printed books. I just tweeted my last one, maybe someone who publishes in printer format as well will like it.

@Carmelanirel2 At least there is a bit of interest in your submissions - or whatever you call them.

@JudyEv I think it is called a tweet and yes I did get some interest. However, this morning I noticed another like, but I don't have time this morning and don't know when I will have time, because this is a busy weekend for me.

I've never heard of this before but it's sounds good that you have some attention from them already. :-)

Yes, but then life got in the way, I never submitted to the only one I felt was the best. Oh well, another is coming up in September, maybe I will get more hits then.

I think that is the same with most people I have talked to, I am wondering how it remains a site.
