A Very Useful Tip From A myLotter

A month ago , I posted about not getting sleep on weekdays . I learned a lot from fellow myLotters from the comments made ways to combat it or make up for it . One advise that I learned and practices whenever I feel so sleepy at work since then , is one that is from @toniganzon to whom I am so thankful . While seated I would recline my head on the head rest of my office chair , relax and close my eyes . Then I concentrate on my breathing - inhale , exhale . I do this for about 10 -12 minutes . What I added , is to set my cellphone clock on 10 or 12 minutes and I wrap my shawl around my head to cover my eyes and darken the surroundings before i do that . During those times , I feel like I am being lulled to sleep , so relaxed . When the alarm sets off , I awaken . I feel so refreshed and reinvigorated , so ready to attend to the documents I will be auditing . I do this at snacktime or after lunch . So , what useful tip have you learned from our fellow myLotters ?

@ridingbet I guess i can't call mine a nap because it's always more than two hours . It's sleep . And at night , i cannot sleep early . So i am again lacking sleep, the next day .

@SIMPLYD when we have case presentations and a presenter says "nap for 2 hours", there are questions if a nap should be more than an hour.nap according to them is taking a short sleep for less than an hour;hence it is better to describe a nap in minutes only.a lesson learned from my students.

I like this. Good question. I am not normal. I think people teach me what is normal although I often disagree on some things. Fun to see the different perspectives. The tip would be just shut up even though I am very quiet in real life.

People disagree because each of us have different opinion on things . But what is important is that we learn from each other on how we do thing in our own way .

I think that this way ,you can take your mind off everything. It is virtually "Qigong" as we call it-a system of deep breathing exercises.

Yes indeed , it's that way - taking away everything off your mind and concentrate on inhaling and exhaling with the mouth closed . So you call it Qigong .
