"You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting"
This exceptional line comes from the movie "A Knights Tale", however a version quite similar comes from another book most of us have read ~ do you know?
Last night we watched this movie AGAIN, probably for the 10th time since my hubby has it on the "catch-up" recording, but I dont mind, any movie with the likes of Heath Ledger in it, is always worth a double take.
On the front page of our Sunday Paper (the Afrikaans Rapport) the translated words were used for the Springboks Darkest day in Rugby history when they sadly lost to the Irish 14 in the first of the three Rugby match tour to be held in SA.
Another shout out today goes to John @ison_1 who is about to be weighted, measured and found wanting if he doesnt put a picture of something up on his blog soon!!
I must say, after browsing the Explore this morning, there are some very dodge new writings from newbies (and other) that are also being found wanting. Six word sentence is not good enough I believe!!
My photo is from my album of Brugge - a place where a Knight could easily tell a tale and I fell is most apt for my post.

Your title, Lany, reminds me of a Filipino movie with that same title but in our Filipino language "Tinimbang ka ngunit kulang" translated as "you were weighed but found wanting". I was in high school then, I guess, and I think the movie won many awards during the annual movie festival held in December which included, among others, best movie, best actress, best story and many more. The actress then was the beautiful Hilda Koronel.

@Inlemay Yes, I think she's half Filipino. Those were the days. I think she's aged now. I have to say good bye for now,Lany. My wife has arrived and we're going to have our dinner at the mall. See you next time :)

You have been weighed and found wanting. We have something similar in the vernacular. If I remember correctly, it was a title of a classic film.
'A Knight's Tale' isn't Heath Ledger's best film but anything with 'We Will Rock You' in its soundtrack is a must see movie.

@Inlemay I liked Heath and Julia Stiles in '10 Things I hate About You'.
Best. Movie. Ever.
Speaking of movies with Queen songs - here's one I truly like - 'Flash Gordon'.

yepperz, that'd be a tale'f me :) i don't mind seein' that movie oft neither, they sometimes play't 'n the movie channel we get. i've not'd the time to be computin' lately. too busy with tendin' weeds 'n other schtuff. once indoors, outta the heat, i find myself too tired to e'en open the laptop to see how folks're doin'. i'm horribly 'hind yet 'gain... i agree though, there's some folks who don't seem to know that a simple sentence'n catchy title doth not fashion a discussion.
love the photo! looks most serene 'n invitin' to me, indeed a place where a knight could tell a tale.
