Banning of Shirtless men on the Street

Calgary, Alberta

It is legal for women to walk around shirtless in New York, Though no woman is interested on taking advantage of that right. Though many people considered a man's chest as a sexual body part, It is legal to be shown on TV for hundreds of years. Men being shirtless is not seen as a taboo. The New President decided to ban shirtless men walking around the Streets. Men are only allowed to walk around shirtless outdoors if he is going to swim on the beach or he is a model doing a photoshoot. Walking casually shirtless had been a norm for men in tropical countries. I guess now they will resort to tank tops.

Well that's something I'm looking forward to. Ahaha. Most men I see topless in the Philippines have really big bellies like my dad It's better covered.

I have lived 25 years in Monte-Carlo and men were not allowed to go shirtless on the street, only near the beaches.

You're right - men being shirtless is not seen as taboo - or I've seen that all my life so I don't think anything of it. I do think there is a time and place for being shirtless - I would think it is a common sense thing (but maybe not for some!). But I've never thought it would be a lawful issue!

I think descency is the issue why it happened. It might be offensive for foreign investors offensive seeing out of shape shirtless guys in a metropolis.

That may be a visual blessing considering the shape most men are in.

@JohnRoberts You can also add people with bad tattoos on the list. This law wont be a problem for me because I always wear longsleeves.

The current President of this country. he wanted it to be banned so people will look educated. Being shirtless on the streets is kind of associated with thugs.

@CaptAlbertWhisker duterte?? I havent been updated with the latest news lol and it makes sense but it is a norm in PH or in men generally so its gonna be tough... i think he could just put a fine on who ever is caught. No need for extreme measures lol

Actually here I can't see a man who is shirtless in the street. If there is such a man, people may think that he is crazy and there is something wrong in his mind.

Here in the States, it is natural for a guy to be shirtless when they are working out. They also want an even tan.

I remembered that Bayani Fernando also banned shirtless men on the street. I think it is but fitting and proper.
