A Question to My Friends

I have a question I want to ask @Lady Duck. I read in the newspaper yesterday that every home in Switzerland is required by law to have guns in the home. Is that really true? We have so many pros and cons in America about gun ownership. I would also like to know if gun ownership in other countries are mandatory, and your opinions. I will appreciate all your answers.

I think that those sophisticated weapons that fire multiple rounds shoud not be sold to tjhe average person at all;. I do believe that farmers and cattle raisers should be allowed to have rifles or shotguns but average people no no reason for them

@marguicha the media often have the wrong information, or take a little truth and blow it out of proportion.

I knew Switzerland has a reputation for being a neutral country. I wish I had saved the paper and knew who wrote the article. I'm looking online to see if I can find it.

I was wondering about this too. I thought that Switzerland was one of those places where everyone served (briefly) in the military. I read somewhere (too) that everyone still had their military weapons, but that it was not OK to have ammo. Where are we getting this news if its not true?

@LadyDuck Once their time in the military is done, what do they do with their weapons? Do women not have to serve?

@RubyHawk The military service for women is voluntary, for men is mandatory.

It really is, we don't know truth from fiction if we depend on the media.
