Greed or lead?

What is it...really? He won but he is having a health issue. Our town mayor won last election, and so is his brother(vice mayor) and his nephew (vice mayor's son)topped the sangguniang bayan race. But, weeks before the election, the mayor was rumored to have been paralyzed, made his half body "dead". And he didn't even casted his vote because of his situation. Last week, they moved.his office from the second floor to downstairs, maybe the rumor is not really rumor, he is really on wheelchair. But what puzzles me is, why does he has to lead with his.condition and not just give it to his brother? If he will resign, his brother, who is the vice mayor would be our mayor, and his nephew.will be the vice mayor. There will be adjustments. But why.he can't? Is his willingness to lead or.just.plain greed to the poit of compromising his health? Sigh.

Well that is a clear example of political dynasty. They don't like others to hold your town

@Lucky15 Singson? Like Chavit Singson? He is a traditional politician, why can they not get away and leave the political power to the young and new generation? They are grabbing the chances of te young.

Well , his body may not be in good health , but perhaps his brain is . Maybe , it will be a trial first if he still can , but eventually will give it up in favor of his brother .

It is possible to still be a great leader while having to use a wheelchair. There has been at least one notable one in history. If the job is too much for him he should leave it to someone else though.

Some people want power, they feel the need to be in charge and to control the others.

You are right, he's too greedy to give his position even to his own brother and just think of his health condition, sigh. Maybe, there is something hidden treasure in politics, I think it is hidden agenda why they can't share their position.

Political dynasties everywhere. Your mayor could not depart from his post, though he is no more capable of running it due to his health condition. Such greed for power!
