Breakfast was good and p eaceful with one soft exchange between Huong and her sweet little roommate Her roomie is less than five ft tall, Im five two and like a giant beside her so maybe four ft ten inches. We had pancakes, one link sausage, scrambled eggs, milk, orange juice , milk and coffee so it was a lovely breakfast.Huong came in late got a plate b ut no drinks, sat there like a statue waiting for someone to bring her drinks, not asking or getting a care giver to get the things she was missing Nobdy camme so she pecked at her food like she always does, then put half a pancake in her napkin and left.'when we come late iits up to us to find a care giver and ask for what we need, One original post by P Hatley copyrighted 2016

Is she able to ask for what she needs? I know my mother in law depends on the caregivers to get her what she needs. sounds like a good breakfast for July 1st. Are pancakes okay for diabetes?

yes they must be as my blood sujgar is in excellent control most foods we can eat b ut we must wish for portion control and not eat a lot of simple cars like whnite bread as it breaks down intio sugar rapidly

@Hatley I suppose you might be able to read up on the culture, maybe figure a few things that way, but yeah communication can be a huge barrier

Maybe if she gets too hungry she will end up doing things the right way---hopefully!
