A Filipino Dessert

Buko Pandan, is a very popular Filipino Dessert. It is made of young coconut fruit and gelatin flavored screwpine leaves locally known as, "Pandan". It is similar to buko salad due to the texture and the dairy being used. Very easy to prepare and it's delicious. Have you eaten this delicious food?

I am not familiar with this dish.I thought those leaves were used only as a wrap for meat or fish while cooking.

The flavor combination is getting very popular, looks like they were made for each other. Lots of foods here have buko-pandan flavor from ice cream, to cupcakes. Juice, sago drink, etc...

I use a lot of pandan leaves in my rice and rice custards. I am sure this tastes good.. coconut flesh jelly with pandan leaves .. the flavors sure compliment each other.

Wow, buko pandan. It's my son's favorite. The use nestle cream and condensed milk for that. It's really delicious.
